As mentioned on my featured article, J-Pop legend Namie Amuro announced her retirement from the music industry for September 16, 2018. As a result, I decided to conduct a special, definite ranking of all of Amuro-chan’s single releases between her debut “Body Feels Exit”, and her most recent release “Just You And I” (a total of 61 releases, including double A-side singles). Also, keep an eye out within each week to see a complete list of album reviews I will be making of all of Amuro-chan’s releases.

For this list, I have removed all B-side tracks that included music videos or were released as radio-only singles or promotional singles. I will create a special top Namie Amuro Non-Singles list to commemorate all the damn amazing tracks from her albums that never saw the light of day (sigh). Soooooo, without further or do, here is my definite rankings of Namie’s singles: Continue reading “The Definite Ranking of Namie Amuro’s Best Singles (Part I)”

The Top 10 Best Linkin Park Songs

74105_141466_051

Just two days ago, it was suddenly revealed to the world that Linkin Park vocalist, Chester Bennington, had tragically committed suicide at his home in Los Angeles, California, two months after releasing their comeback studio album One More Light. Despite no further information regarding the bands future or endeavours, I decided to conduct this list as a tribute to one of the best, most beloved and progressive bands of the 21st century. I think it’s wise to say that every 90s/80s kid knew who Linkin Park was; whether they liked them or not, they’re vulnerable lyrical content and dynamic metal style really changed the music landscape, and brought a whole new dimension within it’s genre. Now, the list I’ve conducted are my own personal favourites, but a lot of theme are recognisable to the days, so I’ll say no more and discuss my favourite Linkin Park tracks. The Top 20 Best Ayumi Hamasaki Songs

19406-6lfprvhqx1

With Ayumi Hamasaki’s upcoming studio album on the way (god knows what it will be like, but I’m praying for a club-oriented one… just praying with my fingers crossed), I’ve decided to compile my favorite songs by the J-Pop Queen, who is also on the way to celebrating her 20th year-spanning career, which originated back on April 8, 1998 with her single “Poker Face”. We jump threw the fluff, the glitter, the grittiness, and the emotional ballads. So it only makes sense to make a list in honor of the Japanese singer… Oh, the list isn’t in top order, just alphabetical. So, lets glide along the list!

The 10 Best Music Videos of 2016

Year-End Videos.jpg

2016 has been a bit of a funny year for music; a few eccentric entries, a large total of deep house bangers, some swift one-hit wonders and catchy-as-hell hooks and moments. Whilst the year has brought us many tears and utter gut-wrenching moments with the loss of several music legends such as David Bowie, Prince, Lemmy, amongst a gigantic number of other icons, 2016 has also been a great year of success to many newcomers and current musicians. So, for every December 1 of each year (yes, I know… I’m late… give me a break!), I will be conducting a year-end list that compiles some of the best work in a glorious 365 day streak. But don’t worry December numbers, you will get your chance for next years inclusion… or will you? (Nah, I’m just kidding, of course you’ll get the opportunity… or will you?) ALSO, there is not particular order, although in alphabetical structure, just plain inclusions of some moments. So, without further-ado, here we gooooooooo… Continue reading “The 10 Best Music Videos of 2016”
