RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9: “Grand Finale”

RuPaulSo… the countdown is here. For the next American Drag Superstar. Goodness, it almost felt like the cast call was literally a couple of weeks ago, but it’s finally here. Tonight was the grand finale for season 9 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and lemme tell you; there was shade, there was sadness, there was celebration, and, the biggest gag of them all; a sudden death lip-sync. But not just one, or two, BUT F-ING THREE LIP-SYNCS! Already snatchin’ my edges Mama Ru. Continue reading “RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9: “Grand Finale””

The Best, Worst, and Shocking Moments of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 – TV Show Review

RuPaul

As you know, tonight was the final night of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9! And for the first time, four queens will be the runner-ups to the crown to be America’s Next Drag Superstar! Thoughout the series, there have been some make-ups, break-ups, cat-fights and more! So, I decided to conduct my personal favourite moments of this season of RuPaul’s Drag Race! I just want to disclaim that this is purely my opinion, so if you basically disagree with everything, then bye… goodbye… next… ka kete… sayonara… fuera betch! Nothing’s in particular order, so here we go! Continue reading “The Best, Worst, and Shocking Moments of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 – TV Show Review”

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 Episode 12: “Category Is…” – TV Show Review

After Alexis Michelle’s departure from the line-up (thank god, I was kinda wondering when the hell she would leave… no tea, no shade gurl), we finally have our top four; legendary Peppermint, creative club kid Sasha Velour, fierce and sickening Shea Coulee, and the pageant princess Trinity Taylor. Who would of thought these four queens would make it to the top four? Maybe Ms. Coulee and Velour, of course, but throughout this journey, I’m quite surprised off the outcome between both Trinity and Peppermint, considering that they have really pushed the envelope to different directions. Now, ladies and gentlemen… it’s the final countdown… to the crown! Continue reading “RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 Episode 12: “Category Is…” – TV Show Review”

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 Episode 11: “Gayest Ball Ever” – TV Show Review

Last week, we had to say a big goodbye to fan-favourite Nina Bo’Nina I Should Have Been Blac-Chyna Brown, and said hello to the new top five! This week was not any other typical week… it was the ball challenge! Thank the lords above yet another challenge where we get to see these bitches create some creative and innovative looks with sewing machines, hot glue guns, and much more! But instead of a completely out of the box type of challenge, Mama Ru decides to spread the love (LGBT love) in the Gayest Ball Ever! Yes y’all, a runway show filled with rainbows, unicorns, and over-the-top frills!  Continue reading “RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 Episode 11: “Gayest Ball Ever” – TV Show Review”

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 Episode 10: “Crew Better Work” – TV Show Review

Can you believe that we’ve already hit the top 6? It only feels like last week Jaymes Mansfield was just eliminated, and now, 8 queens have left the building? Jesus Christ, I feel like I’ve been writing memoirs of this seasons RuPaul’s Drag Race. But of course, why not have an emotional moment when you have an episode like the make-over challenge. But unlike previous seasons, this make-over challenge didn’t included people of hit shows or veterans that have served good ol’ America. In fact, it’s a group of people that were closer to them than what they thought (literally though…). Mama Ru decided to let the queens make-over… THE CAMERA CREW! But first… the drama. RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 Episode 9: “Your Pilots on Fire” – TV Show Review

This season’s RuPaul’s Drag Race has been a cave full of… well, quietness and humbleness (apart from a couple queens that just love to throw the shade, and drown in sorrow… literally). But this episode, the creative challenge of “Your Pilots on Fire”, we see it all; the tension, the drama, the shade, the sadness, the laughs… gurl, the everythang! I’ve been DYING for an episode that basically moulds all these elements together because frankly, it’s been a bit lacklustre as a whole, so it’s good to see a lot of drama for… well, a reality TV series full of drama of course. And, it could possibly be the best episode this entire season for the reasons to come! Continue reading “RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 Episode 9: “Your Pilots on Fire” – TV Show Review”

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 Episode 8: “RuPaul Roast” – TV Show Review

Now y’all… what would Drag Race be without a good reading challenge! Thank the lords, Mama Ru has decided to push back the main challenge and bring forth the good ol’ reading glasses, because why? The library is open! Apart from Ms. Nina Bo’Nina I’ll-Read-You-To-Filth-Betch Brown and Trinity Taylor, this season hasn’t been open to shady shade reads, so it’s good to see a cluster of surprising reads and cutty-cut moments that showcases the quick-wit and intelligence of these queens. Lukicly this season, all the queens served each other a platter of filth and shade, but for some, they just couldn’t take it. RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 Episode 7: “9021-Ho” – TV Show Review

queens-we-love-rupauls-drag-race-season-9-hero

Ahhhhhhh, another RuPaul’s Drag Race episode, another acting challenge. This season, it really looks like Mama Ru is basically jumping the gun and leaving all that mini-challenge mama drama out and focusing primary on the challenges… well, if it’s you mama Ru, it’s you. This week the queens worked with the dynamic duo Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth on the infamous 90’s rendition of 90210, which the drag title is called, 9021-Ho... yes, catchy isn’t it? But here’s the catch… the fishy catch. Nearly all these gurls bring the drama and respectable performances, but the line is getting thin (or the contour, whatever fancies you…), so I’m being a LOT MORE particular with my reviews (BAM!). RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 Episode 6: “Snatch Game” – TV Show Review

queens-we-love-rupauls-drag-race-season-9-hero

If there is anything about RuPaul’s Drag Race that completely gets us gagging and living, it’s the Snatch Game. So, after a five-episode stint of drama, camaraderie and pure petty shade, we get to see the jazziness and glamour of the remaining 10 drag queen contestants in this episode full of fluff and fun! The choices are as stated: Aja as the tongue-poppin alumni Alyssa Edwards, Alexis Michelle as the kooky Liza Minelli, Cynthia Lee Fontaine as buxom TV starlet Sofia Vergara, Farrah Moan as YouTube sensation Gigi Gorgeous, Nina Bo’Nina Brown as the sassy and classy Jasmine Masters, Peppermint as Real Housewives bad bitch Nene Leakes, Sasha Velour as German diva Merlene Dietrich, Shea Coulee as the glamorous supermodel Naomi Campbell, Trinity Taylor as club-kid realness Amanda Lepore, and Valentina as Ms. Colombia which… well, we won’t go on cause we all know what happened.
